DBS System Outage

The DBS have made us aware that there is a technical issue affecting the DBS systems for Standard and Enhanced DBS Checks. This means that at present, we can neither submit these levels of DBS applications, nor receive updates about DBS applications that are in process. The Update Service is also currently unavailable.

If you are using Personnel Checks to process these levels of DBS applications, you will still be able to:

  • Complete Basic DBS application forms.

  • Verify your Subject’s identity.

  • “Submit” the application form.

However, when you submit the application, it will be queued until the DBS’ systems return to normal.

As it stands, we do not know how long it will take to resolve this issue. However, in our experience, the DBS resolve high-priority issues like this within a matter of hours, usually less than 24.

The DBS have stated they will provide us with an update as soon as possible. As soon as we have that information, we will update this page.
