Online ID Verification Is Nearly Here!

A while ago, we announced that we would be introducing Online ID Verification (OIDV) into our service.

Due to delays in the Government’s certification process, this addition was held back. However, we are now pleased to announce we have completed initial tests, and we are nearly ready to launch OIDV.

This is something we know a lot of our customers have been looking forward to and we can’t wait to introduce it.

How it works

Currently, the ID Verification (IDV) process is carried out manually in alignment with the Disclosure & Barring Service IDV guidelines. With the introduction of OIDV, you will be able to fully outsource this process to us.

Online IDV enables the entire process to be executed within Personnel Checks. Subjects will be asked to upload their ID and take a selfie. The ID Verification will then be carried out automatically.

This approach paves the way for significant time savings. With the ID Verification taking place first, our product can auto-populate the subject's information onto their application form. This means the Online DBS Application can be submitted promptly once the form is completed, accelerating the process even further! 

Online IDV essentially removes the need for your team to spend time completing this process. The process is fully outsourced to Personnel Checks and completed automatically. This method of IDV will also reduce the chance of mistakes as there is less opportunity for human error. 

When is it launching?

We’ll be delighted to confirm the formal launch date once we have completed the second round of testing.

Continuing our tests with real businesses will enable us to identify any issues or areas for improvement. This ensures that when it’s ready to launch, you’re getting the best experience possible.
